At EA Play at E3 2016, BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn went onstage to talk about Mass Effect: Andromeda, revealing some new details about the upcoming sequel to the Mass Effect trilogy.

According to the presentation, Mass Effect: Andromeda will be more open than previous BioWare games. It will be set in the Andromeda galaxy, as opposed to the Milky Way, and will feature an entirely new cast of characters and entirely new worlds. The game will use DICE’s Frostbite engine.

They also showed off a new video, which can be seen below:

No release date was revealed, with only the vague promise of more details in the fall. The game is set for release at the start of 2017.
