Marvelous have released two more mini-trailers promoting their upcoming brawler, Uppers, due to release in Japan this July 21st for PS Vita.

The two trailers showcase the following gameplay actions within Uppers – Helicopter Drop and Evade & Counter. These are trailers 11 and 12 out of the seemingly unlimited number of promotional trailers Marvelous are releasing to advertise this Kenichiro Takaki-directed ecchi brawler. It shows off a bit more of the game’s distinctive style, with Helicopter Drop in particular making me laugh.

Evade & Counter:

If you’re impatient to give this game a try, two demos are on the Japanese PSN that can go be used towards a 500 yen discount on the full digital game if you download one of them.

Uppers is due to release in Japan on July 21st for PS Vita, with all preorders coming with an artbook, 2 disc soundtrack and a DLC code. No word on a Western release.

About Joseph Puntschart

A university student who loves niche games and desires for them to be more fairly represented in the world. Favourite games include Persona 4 Golden, Super Mario Galaxy, Kingdom Hearts II and IA/VT Colorful. Hopes that one day a Japanese publisher will take the risk and make a Yaoi ecchi game. Think Valkyrie Drive with guys and you're on the right lines.

I think they are trying to show that the combat can be pretty varied with all those trailers. Hopefully we’ll see this one and Valkyrie Drive in the West or at least in the Asia region with subtitles.

I hope we do too, I have this on preorder and I cannot wait for July!

      I presume you are importing?

Yep, I can’t wait for a localisation and this game looks right up my street and fairly easy to understand.
