Final Fantasy XV Ultimate Collector's Edition

Square Enix announced last month that they will be producing a new run of Final Fantasy XV Collector’s Edition, since the first sold out in such a short amount of time. The company has now updated their official blog, saying that they will produce 10,000 more units, but they don’t give a time frame for its availability. Square Enix reiterates that they don’t know if the extra copies of the Collector’s Edition will be available by the game’s launch on September 30.

Additionally, the company did not say how many copies each region will receive, but have said Europe, North America, Asia and Australia/New Zealand are eligible.

Square Enix’s European Store will open orders for their Final Fantasy XV Collector’s Edition next Monday at 10AM BST.

Final Fantasy XV is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 30.

The figure that comes with this edition is kinda crap considering its more in line with a kids toy then an actual figure.

  • Mr0303

This scarcity of the collector’s edition seems to be manufactured to build up hype for the game.

Then this is the site. What these guys lay claim too, game stop and oprainfall’s one-two-punch against the Nintendo community… xenoblade.

    • Mr0303

      Huh?

      It’s probably just a troll.

    • Mr0303

Yeah, but it’s a weird article to troll.

I dunno man. I was there personally attempting to buy the collector’s edition, and if the way the site was being slow as effin balls during checkout says anything, it that a lot of people were on there for a reason.

Trust me, in the grand scheme of things, 30,000 (soon to be 40,000) copies is NOT a big amount to go around, and I’m glad I got mine when I did.

    • Panpopo

First of all, I am glad you got a copy. I really hope that those that want this collector’s editions will get them.

It is odd that only 30k was originally produced. Drakengard 3, for example, had a collector’s edition and 5,000 were produced, and that was a MUCH more niche game. 40k seems like too low of a number for their flagship title.

    • Mr0303

That’s the thing – I think they purposefully produced less so that there would be more demand and thus more media presence of the game on various game sites.
