Koei Tecmo has released it’s latest financial results showing that the RPG studio is working on a new IP.

Gust is the studio behind the Atelier series and most recently Nights of Azure. The team has a knack for creating stylish RPG with a rememberable soundtrack and in depth story telling.

Translated by Gematsu the report reads:

As for the Gust brand, in addition to strengthening the development of existing IP like the Atelier series, Gust will create new IP that leverages its originality.

Atelier Sophie is coming to the PlayStation 4 on June 7.

Gust is the stupid…??? Don’t you mean the studio?

    • azariosays

      my fingers can’t be trusted!!!!

  • Mr0303

I’m really enjoying Nights of Azure, so I’m looking forward to what they come up with next.

How’s the Framerate holding up? i read there was some problems with that and i still need to buy the game so might as well ask.

    • Mr0303

I’m playing the PS4 version and it is pretty stable. I haven’t encountered any slowdown even with multiple enemies on screen. As far as I know the Vita port is the problematic one.

    • Dgnfly

Ok thanks i’ll be getting it soon then. its kinda hard with a massive backlog to keep track of every new game especially considering the old days there are now massivly more anime games coming then ever..

    • Mr0303

I can relate on the backlog issue.

    • j0eeyy_p

The PS Vita version is supposed to have framerate issues among other things so that may explain why that version was not localised despite fan requests. Maybe that’s where you are hearing it from..?

    • Dgnfly

I think that’s the most likely reason considering i haven’t kept track of that game much. Nowadays there are so many anime themed games its kinda hard keeping track of it all.

    • j0eeyy_p

That’s a good thing, I guess. I hope KT hold back releasing the Toukiden 2 Vita port in the West, considering that was also a hatchet job as the shoddy port disrepects the very audience that helped build it up, at least in Japan.

    • Dgnfly

Toukiden sucked for PSvita in general, very unstable online with barely anybody online and considering co-op is the core of Toukiden it makes the whole game useless in the west. most likely the same will happen with part 2.

I’m kinda in the middle with Toukiden considering the game is repetative as hell i wish Koei Tecmo would fix this.

    • j0eeyy_p

Yeah, I doubt Toukiden 2 would be worth localising for Vita if that’s the case. It’d have more chance on PC and Xbone. I got put off by the repetitiveness too, I can allow it in a dungeon RPG like Dungeon Travelers 2 but not in a Hunters style game. Of course, others would disagree, but that’s personal taste.

Yes. More gust is always a good thing
