Splatoon

Splatoon took the world by storm when it was launched nearly a year ago on Wii U, and since then over 4 million squid kids have been battling in Turf Wars online. While updates for the game were slated to end this past January, it was announced during last Nintendo Direct that there’s still a few more updates coming to Nintendo’s latest IP. On April 12 update 2.7.0 will arrive after some server maintenance, and it will introduce eight new weapons known as Sheldon’s Picks.

These new weapons include the Wasabi Splattershot, (the fifth Splattershot variant after the original, Tentatek, Heroshot and Octoshot,) the Berry Splattershot Pro, the Fresh Squiffer, and the Permanent Inkbrush. Each weapon comes with a unique color scheme along with new sub and special weapons. An image from the official Splatoon Japanese Twitter account also shows off the remaining weapons receiving new variants, including the Bamboozler, Dynamo Roller, Slosher, and Mini Splattling, though names and details are still under wraps. Also keep in mind that there will be another volume of Sheldon’s Picks weapons coming in a future update. Have a look at some of the new weapons in the screenshots below.
