Uppers Daidoji

Uppers Daidoji

Marvelous has released a new trailer for their beat-em-up Uppers that ups the ante with a familiar face from Senran Kagura. Are you up for the challenge of taking control of Daidoji to fight hordes of thugs on ‘last resort island’?

Much like an early trailer for the game, you can see the frenetic action and swooning schoolgirls here as the ninja with the six-pack pummels everything in sight. It’s also nice to hear some good news after the game was delayed to July due to low preorders.

Uppers Daidoji

Uppers will also let you take control of Ranma Kamishiro as he does what he needs to survive in a world where the greatest form of entertainment is over-the-top fisticuffs. The game features precise combos and amazing juggles and a dynamic attack strategy based on where and how someone is facing you. You can try and learn more on the official site but be warned it’s in Japanese and a lot of the links don’t seem to work yet.

The game is slated to come out exclusively for the PS Vita on July 14th in Japan only. A demo is available on the Japanese PSN store as of yesterday. There has been no word on a possible English localization and the chance might be slim due to earlier problems with preorders. However, we can still hope since producer Kenichiro Takaki’s other franchise Senran Kagura did quite well on our shores and the gameplay here looks really engaging. As always we’ll be here to keep you informed if Marvelous announces anything new about Uppers.
