My Nintendo Picross

It appears Nintendo has had another leak, this time revealing a game that appears to be one of the first My Nintendo rewards. My Nintendo Picross: The Legend of Zelda – Twilight Princess (for 3DS) data was found by Twitter user Cellenseres, who then posted the information and screenshots he found on Nintendo’s NA and EU servers. The story originally surfaced earlier last week, but since then data miners have pulled some more information making the story seem a bit more legit. The title screen image above does seem a bit iffy, but then again you would also expect a Picross game to have a fairly simplistic title screen.

According to the information pulled from Nintendo’s servers, the game has a release date of March 31st, but that may be just a placeholder release date. However, the My Nintendo loyalty program is set to launch later this month along with Nintendo’s Miitomo app. GoNintendo also pointed out that this scenario is very similar to how the existence of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD was leaked before Nintendo officially announced the game.

It is not known if My Nintendo Picross: The Legend of Zelda – Twilight Princess will be tied to purchases of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, or whether you will be able to get it by redeeming My Nintendo points. The screenshots also indicate that the Picross series developer, Jupiter, is making the new game.

Some will be excited by the possibility of this game and hope that it is indeed real, while others will not. Either way, remember that if you register a My Nintendo account before My Nintendo and Miitomo launch, you will get some bonus points to redeem once the My Nintendo service goes live later this month. It is also quite conceivable that this game could be the first in a new series of My Nintendo Picross games, and Nintendo has already made a number of Picross games in the past.

Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
