Black Butler | Theater Visual

Plans for a new Black Butler anime film have been announced. The film will be titled Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic and is set to premiere sometime in 2017. The new anime film will be produced by A-1 Pictures and will be distributed by Aniplex. It will be directed by Noriyuki Abe and the music will be composed by Yasunori Mitsuda.

Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic will adapt the Ship Voyage arc and is a follow up to the 2008, 2010 and 2014 anime adaptations of the manga. The Ship Voyage arc covers volumes 11-14 of the manga. The arc involves Sebastian and Ciel investigating illegal human experiments in Campania. The experiments aim to revive the dead.

Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic is set to premiere sometime in 2017. Aniplex will promote the film and sell advanced tickets at AnimeJapan from March 26-27.
