urban pirate 2

Urban Pirate was described to me as “having its own sense of humor, streetwise terminology, and aesthetics.” This indie title is a turn based urban crime sim that allows you to become an urban legend as you rise from a petty thief. A demo is currently available and the full game is expected sometime in April of 2016 for Windows.

About the development:

The theme of the game is inspired by the developer BABY DUKA’s own life through traveling, hitchhiking, performing and creating. Urban Pirate is a semi-autobiography, a piece of art. A good game with a provoking edge as well as personality to it. BD Games is a part of the BABY DUKA production company which releases music, video, graphical art and games. Urban Pirate is BD Games’ debut release.

Features:

  • Quit your job
  • Become a part of the militant resistance in the local squat
  • Survive hunger and insanity by shoplifting, skateboarding and dumpster diving
  • Upgrade your pirate
  • Rave and riot!
  • Get your adrenaline going in the levels’ mini-games (Escape-the-store-detective Level, Fight-the-Cops Level, Gamble Level, Street Skate Level + much more)
  • DRM-free
  • Original 8 bit soundtrack
