A Link Between Worlds figma 01

The folks over at Good Smile Company have produced quality figures based on Nintendo properties for the past few years, including the popular Skyward Sword Link and Metroid: Other M Samus figma figures, both of which have had several production runs to meet demand. Following in the wake of these successes, Good Smile plans to release a new figma from The Legend of Zelda series: the iteration of Link from A Link Between Worlds. Per usual for figmas, the A Link Between Worlds figure features a variety of points of articulation and different faces, allowing Link to be posed and positioned in myriad ways. Additionally, this figma will release in two versions: a standard edition that comes with the Master Sword, Hylian Shield, and a flat sheet of the wall-merged Link; and a deluxe edition that includes additional accessories, like the Tornado Rod, Hookshot, and bomb, as well as a Rupee, a pot, and a baby Maimai. Both versions of the figure are available to reserve now.

It would be nice to see Good Smile take on another Zelda character other than Link sometime…why not an iteration of Zelda herself? (I’m still holding out hope for a Ralph figure, but I doubt that will ever come to fruition.) That being said, I really can’t complain when their figures are made with such quality, and I’m sure they will get to other characters from the series at some point.

The A Link Between Worlds Link figma standard edition is priced at ¥4,630 (about $39.49) while the deluxe edition is priced at ¥5,556 (about $47.39), though both of those prices are before additional tax, which will likely vary by retailer. The figure is projected to be released in August of this year. Pre-orders are available online at Good Smile’s online store and other import retailers. There is a limited time to reserve a figure of this print, so make sure to get your pre-orders in before February 3rd! Check out some more images of the figma below.
