PlayStation Vita Feature

Sony’s European’s boss Jim Ryan spoke with VG24/7 to clear up some confusion that might have been surrounding Sony’s handheld, the PlayStation Vita.

Jim Ryan tells the press outlet:

Currently, first-party studios have no titles in development for PS Vita.

Since third-parties are working very hard on PS Vita, SCE’s own strategy is to focus on PS4, which is a new platform.

He addressed the confusion with his following statement:

To clarify what was said about Vita, which was either misinterpreted or misreported: I think what was said was that we’re no longer in the business of triple-A development of games for Vita. But there is still first-party Vita content being worked upon.

Jim Ryan recently spoke during the Paris Games Week press conference where no Vita games were show on stage.

Could there be a light at the end of the tunnel for the little handheld? Only time will tell.
