Lightning Returns Lightning and Bhunivelze

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase has announced via Twitter that the game will finally release on PC through Steam in December.

The post translates to, “We’re currently applying finishing touches and it will take a little more time before it’s complete. As it stands, we should be able to release it around December.”

More details will come in time, but at least there’s a window for when the port that was announced shortly after those of the other two games in the trilogy. This port will follow up on those PC releases, with Final Fantasy XIII released on October 9, 2014 and Final Fantasy XIII-2 two months later on December 11, 2014. This release will mark all of the games in the Fabula Nova Crystallis sub-series with North American releases being available on PC, namely the Lightning trilogy and Final Fantasy Type-0, along with the defunct Final Fantasy Agito and the upcoming Type-0 Online in Japan.
