Toys R Us amiibo

Toys R Us has announced via twitter that they will be getting more exclusive amiibos. The first is a 3-pack similar to the Retro 3-Pack that Gamestop had. This one consists of the customizable Mii Fighters and will be available in store only on November 1st. They also promised that more are on the way showing only a silhouette of two more amiibos. It might be a mystery to the general public, but anyone who has been following the amiibo craze will easily recognize them.

The first silhouette is undoubtedly that of the Villager, which has become a kind of a symbol of the amiibo craze and shortage from the first wave of amiibos. This rerelease falls in line with Nintendo’s plans to fulfill the demand for rare amiibos from the first wave.

The second is even easier to guess solely based on its size relative to the others. The Mega Yarn Yoshi Amiibo is the only amiibo that we know off that’s at least twice the size of the others. It’s so big that its left foot is the actual base of the amiibo that the Gamepad reads from.

Mega Yarn Yoshi amiibos have a previously announced release date of November 15th. No release date has been announced for the Villager reprint.

Karli Winata
Karli Winata is an avid gamer with a taste for a little bit of everything. Except for sports games. And racing sims. And definitely not hidden object games! I guess everything is too broad a term. Suffice it to say that he has been known to play hours of Call of Duty multiplayer in between bouts of Persona fusing and Star Coin collecting while saving the world/galaxy through sensibly bald space marines or plucky teenagers with impossible hairstyles. Where does he find the time to write about them?
