On Sunday night, a teaser went live on the Japanese website for Shin Megami Tensei IV, saying that “In 15,000 tweets, a disaster will begin”. That threshold was broken this morning, and Atlus announced Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final, a new game on Nintendo 3DS slated for release on February 10, 2016.

Famitsu coverage Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final

Not much is known about the game aside from the title, the key staff and the keyword “Deicide” or “Godslayer”. Kazuyuki Yamai is acting as the producer for the game, alongside Satoshi Ohyama as director, Masashi Doi as character designer, Ryota Kozuka as the sound designer, and Kazuma Kaneko is acting as the setting planner and series demon designer. Famitsu will have more coverage on the game this week, in addition to Atlus hosting a livestream about the game on Niconico on October 11 at 7:00 PM JST, called “Shinjuku Disaster”.

The game’s announcement site can be seen here.
