Dragon Quest Heroes - Featured

Japanese fans have have already been able to experience for themselves the wonder and mayhem of the Square Enix and Omega Force collaboration Dragon Quest Heroes and by all accounts, it’s another winner in the mass combat action genre, which takes characters, monsters and concepts from the popular RPG series Dragon Quest and drops them into a Dynasty Warriors style setup where parties of beloved DQ heroes from the different games team up to take on slimes, golems and dragon lords.

We already know that Omega Force is capable of producing stellar work adapting other properties to the action genre, given the quality of titles such as Dynasty Warriors Gundam, One Piece Pirate Warriors and, perhaps their best effort in this regard, Hyrule Warriors. There was, of course, DLC for Dragon Quest Heroes that extended the life of what was an already densely packed game with even more replayability.

Good news for fans in the west that can’t wait to play this amazing game (I’ve already got my slime collector’s edition reserved). TheDLC, which was originally downloaded and then unlocked after reaching a certain level of progression in the main campaign, will be included on the disc in Europe and North America. That’s right, this amazing content which opens up side quests, characters, weapons and costumes will be included FOR FREE without having to go to virtual markets to obtain it. We’re already getting the GOTY edition! To learn more about what’s being included, go take a look at the Square Enix blog by kmelody SEA , which breaks down what this all means in great detail.

Dragon Quest Heroes will be available in North America on October 13, 2015 and in Europe on October 15, 2015 for the Playstation 4 entertainment system, published by Square Enix and developed by Omega Force.
