Some big news has hit the press today. If reports are believed to be true, the famous original Sony SNES PlayStation has been found in physical form. According to a reddit post, someone posted images of the console that never happened due to the famous deal between Sony and Nintendo never working out. The poster of the console said the following statement regarding the discovery of the SNES PlayStation:
“My dad worked for a company, apparently one of the guys he used to work with, I think his name was Olaf, used to work at Nintendo and when my dads company went bankrupt, my dad found it in a box of “junk” he was supposed to throw out.”
We do not know yet if the console can be powered up, turned on, or even used at this point, but if this is all true, it is great to see the console in physical form. For years, it seemed the SNES PlayStation was believed to have only been in the design phase before Nintendo decided to break off their contract with Sony.
