When Square Enix remade the opening scene for Final Fantasy 7 on the PlayStation 3, countless pledges began to give the entire game the same treatment. The hope came again with Square Enix started remaking all the older Final Fantasy titles for Nintendo platforms.

Last year’s PlayStation Experience provided one of the greatest trolls in gaming history where Square Enix showed the logo of Final Fantasy VII and announced that the PC port of the game will be brought to PlayStation 4.

This morning word is going around that Square Enix is planning to announce a complete remake of Final Fantasy VII for PlayStation 4. This could be what we’ve waited so long for or just another disappointment that we’ve come to expect. We’ll keep you updated through out the day!
