So, you know how Japan had a Nintendo Direct yesterday? You know how they talked about things like a new Chibi-Robo and other cool stuff? Were you expecting those to be announced at E3?

Nope, they’re getting announced today. As for what E3 will hold, we’ll have to wait and see. For now, here’s what happened today… featuring “Micro” Bill Trinen.

Chibi-Robo: Zip Lash

Chibi-Robo: Zip Lash for 3DS is first up. This is the fifth game in the series and the second to come to the 3DS. However, unlike the previous game, this will be more about platforming and adventure than finding and cleaning things. Chibi-Robo will also be getting a special amiibo that is exclusive to the Chibo-Robo bundle. This will be coming this October.

Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure

Next is Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure. This is the new 3DS Dr. Mario game announced yesterday and features both traditional Dr. Mario gameplay and the new Dr. Luigi feature that was introduced during the Year of Luigi. The game will also feature the option for a Miracle Cure, which is a special item that you get after filling up a meter. You can also use medicines during multiplayer to aggravate your opponent. Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure will release on June 11th, but is available to pre-purchase on the eShop today.

Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon - Logo

Following this is Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon, the latest game in the Pokemon spin-off series. You can become one of 20 Pokemon and go out and see all of the over 700 Pokemon. Nintendo calls it the ultimate Mystery Dungeon experience. It will release this Winter.

Next, we have Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. This is the latest iteration of the Mario & Sonic Olympic crossover. New sports will be added, including Rugby Sevens, Golf, and Soccer. Some of these new sports will be system exclusive (Wii U will have Rugby Sevens, 3DS will have Golf), so be advised if you are looking to purchase the game.

A new weapon is coming to Splatoon: the NES Zapper… or the N-ZAP85. It’s not too powerful but it does charge the special weapon pretty quickly. A new free map, Port Mackerel, is also coming. These will be launching today at 7PM PDT. Ranked Battles will also begin tonight, in large part to so many players getting to level 10.

Art Academy: Home Studio Art Academy: Home Studio

After a quick skit, we get a look at Art Academy: Home Studio for the Wii U. This is the second time Art Academy has appeared on Wii U with Sketch Pad allowing for colorful drawings on Miiverse. This time around, you will get the full experience with a new variety of lessons and the ability to upload a time-lapse video of your drawing to YouTube. It is available for pre-purchase on the eShop and will launch on June 25th.

Next is Project Treasure, the Wii U exclusive multiplayer game from Bandai Namco. No footage was shown in this video but a trailer is available to watch on Nintendo’s YouTube channel. And actually, you can see the trailer below right now.

Before continuing with game announcements, Bill announced some details for E3. As you might know, qualifying rounds for the Nintendo World Championships happened at select Best Buys around the country this past weekend. Today, Nintendo has revealed (subtly) that The Legend of Zelda will be part of the NWC, which will happen June 14th starting at 3PM PDT. Also, Behind the Scenes looks will be shown on Periscope and Snapchat this year.

LBX: Little Battlers eXperience

Going back to games, Nintendo reveals the localization of Little Battlers eXperience. This is one of the cross-media franchises from Level-5 and the one that hadn’t really been talked about coming over in game form… until today. The game will be coming out this year in conjunction with the new season of LBX. The game will also allow for 6 players to connect in online modes. The game will launch in North America on August 21st.

Before getting to the final reveal, new information for Puzzle & Dragons Z and Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition was revealed. The game has released already but Nintendo wanted to let gamers who are on the fence that even more content will be playable than previously advertised. For instance, P&D: Super Mario Bros. has 8 additional worlds after you complete the main game which will feature new characters such as Rosalina, Bowser, and the Koopalings. In addition, P&DZ will have frequent updates with new monsters to catch while a second continent will be available after completing the main game.

Bravely Second: End Layer

Finally, fans of Bravely Default rejoice as Nintendo has revealed the localization of Bravely Second. If you don’t know much about the game, be sure to check out our previous articles on the game. Battles promise to be deeper than the first with new and returning characters to play with. Bravely Second: End Layer will release in 2016.
