A lot of us grew up with Tony Hawk Pro Skater, but as the series gained popularity it seemed to drift away from what we enjoyed about the game. Announced by Game Informer, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 will be coming to current gen consoles later this year. The last title to be released in the series was Tony Hawk Proving Grounds in 2007 and the series also saw an HD release of Tony Hawk in 2012.
For fans of the series, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 promises to bring back classic mechanics and traditional Tony Hawk missions with the addition of special power-ups. Players will be able to play single player or online with friends. There is also a create a park mode where players will be able to share user created levels with the world.
Skaters that are announced to appear in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 are Tony Hawk, Nyjah Huston, Aaron Homoki, Ishod Wair, Riley Hawk, Lizzie Armanto, Chris Cole, David Gonzalez, Leticia Bufoni, and Andrew Reynolds. Andrew Reynolds sadly being the only skater I remember from the older titles.
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 is coming later this for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 release shortly after. Are you excited about this?
