Show Off Your Dedication to Justice with Solid Gold Kamen Riders

I’ve learned many things from Kamen Rider, namely how many problems can be solved by explosive jump-kicks. I’ve also learned something about marketing and toys. Kamen Rider has sold toys that haven’t been just for kids for awhile, but now there’s a new demographic being shot for now: people with way too much money.

Kamen Rider 1 (or Kamen Rider Ichigo) is being cast into gold by the company Tokuriki Honten. Two models are being made, one at 200mm (about 8 inches) and weighing 100g (about 1/4 lb), and another at 100mm (about 4 inches) and weighing 35g (about 1 1/4 ounces)

Golden justice doesn’t come cheap as the larger figure will cost ¥5.55 millions (approximately $46,672) and the smaller one will cost ¥770,000 (approximately $6,475). They go on sale April 24 and Tokuriki Honten will be accepting orders until December 31st. So if you need your toys to be made of only the shiniest metals, then you might want to save your cash.
