XSEED GAMES LAUNCHES BRANDISH: THE DARK REVENANT IN EUROPE

At Long Last, Nihon Falcom’s Reimagined Dungeon-Crawling Action RPG Now Available Digitally Across Europe on PSP; Compatible with PlayStation®Vita and PSTV

Torrance, Calif., (April 15, 2015) – XSEED Games is excited to announce today that the critically-acclaimed dungeon-crawling action RPG adventure, Brandish: The Dark Revenant, is now available for digital download across Europe for the PSP (PlayStation®Portable) system at a retail price of €15.99/£12.99. The game is also fully compatible with the PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system and PlayStation®TV system. Brave European bounty hunters and sorceresses can now enter the lost ruins of Vittoria on their PSPs, Vitas or PSTVs, where death lurks around every corner and nothing is as it seems!

“We’re incredibly pleased to be able to bring Brandish: The Dark Revenant to Europe at last,” said Ken Berry, Executive Vice President of XSEED Games. “Our European fans will no doubt enjoy experiencing Nihon Falcom’s remastered classic, just as others from around the world have taken to this outstanding game.”

Brandish: The Dark Revenant is an action-oriented reimagining of a cult classic from the annals of Nihon Falcom, the storied developers of the highly-acclaimed Ys and The Legend of Heroes RPG franchises. Featuring an innovative “world turning” mechanic, players are immersed in a third person real-time dungeon-crawling adventure with a first person flair, dungeon walls rotating around their avatar as each corner is turned.

Critics had great things to say about Brandish: The Dark Revenant upon its North American release:

Brandish touches on a lot of things I enjoy about role-playing games while presenting its own highly idiosyncratic experience. USgamer

“…It will keep you sitting in bed into the wee hours of the morning, pushing to clear ‘just one more floor.’” Hardcore Gamer

“…Brandish: The Dark Revenant was worth the wait.” Destructoid

Brandish: The Dark Revenant is published in Europe by XSEED Games and is available digitally for the PlayStation®Portable system for €15.99/£12.99, and is also compatible with PS Vita and PSTV. This title has been rated 12+ by PEGI in Europe, 12+ by USK in Germany, and M in Australia.

About Steve Baltimore

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.

“The game is also fully compatible with the PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system and PlayStation®TV system. “

As of today that is not true. Please, be careful with what you write, I’ve already seen lots of sites posting false information about this game release and some people have bought the game and now can’t play it.

In Europe Brandhis is PSP-only, Vita an PS TV compatibility are locked by Sony for some unknown reason.
