Anonymous;Code

5pb.’s next major visual novel that’s all about hacking.

5pb. made made several  announcements during a TwitCasting event last Saturday. One of these was the reveal of Anonymous;Code. The game, like Steins;Gate and Chaos;Head before it, will be a visual novel. The game is apparently set in 2037 where humanity has used a super computer named “Gaia” to create a simulation of Earth in order to solve a massive computer problem that happened the year before and is predicted to occur again in 2038. However shortly after getting this simulator to work they find that the humans in the simulation do exactly the same thing as them, causing them to wonder if they too are merely living in a simulation.

The primary theme of the game will be hacking and will make use of a “Hacking Trigger” system that allows the protagonist, Poron Takaoka, the ability to dive into “World Layers” that reside below his own. In addition using an ability called “save and load” he can literally save and load his life just like in a game.

Please take a look at the trailer below and if you want more 5pb. news, take a look at our article covering the announcement of Steins;Gate 0 which was announced during the same event.
