Nintendo Direct April 1st

You heard it here. Nintendo has announced a Nintendo Direct for tomorrow on April 1st. We’re happy to confirm that it’s not an April Fools Joke! That is, unless Nintendo wants to have torches and pitchforks in the hands of many angry fans at Nintendo of America’s doorstep.

This Nintendo Direct will feature upcoming Wii U and 3DS titles. Nice timing to announce this after the delay of The Legend of Zelda for Wii U. After the direct, there will apparently be a Treehouse presentation featuring one of the titles that’s coming out this spring. We assume it’d be Splatoon, but there are other possibilities, such as Mario Maker and Yoshi’s Woolly World.

We’re pretty sure the Japanese edition of this direct will focus heavily on Xenoblade Chronicles X which comes out later in April in Japan. Moreover, we hope to find out more on the North American and European release dates for Xenoblade Chronicles X.

It would also be nice to be filled in on some mysteries for Wii U such as the new Star Fox game coming out later this year. Maybe we can finally get more information on Devil’s Third or Nintendo’s missing kid on a milk carton, the Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem crossover. Speaking of Fire Emblem, maybe more news on the new Fire Emblem for 3DS itself? How about more information on more possible New 3DS exclusives besides the likes of  Xenoblade Chronicles 3D? Any news on future DLC for their current games?

We can only hope for good tomorrow.

The direct starts at 3PM PDT/6PM EDT/11PM BST (British Summer Time). Are you excited to finally get some updates on future titles on Nintendo systems? What are you looking forward to in this Nintendo Direct?

Lois is a forward thinking but old school gamer from New Jersey (who loves Kevin Smith movies as a member of that state!) who is partially of Japanese descent and she's totally glamorous. She's been gaming for practically as long as she's been alive with a early-on fascination for Kid Icarus as her favorite franchise. She's a total hipster for Nintendo as well appreciating cult classics from them. She definitely has a soft spot for JRPGs, which is an obvious inspiration why she joined the campaign of Operation Rainfall at it's launch. Xenoblade Chronicles then became another one of her favorite franchises as the result of this. She's a gamer who demands quality and charm out of her games because if she doesn't get it she will let it be known.
