Splatoon
Taking a break between battles.

One of the next big Nintendo releases for Wii U is Splatoon, a single-player and team-based online shooter where you take the role of different Squids and form squads (pun intended) with up to three other players and compete in different game modes with some unique twists. The game was originally shown last year at E3 and as we near it’s May 2015 release date, it has a shiny new website you can browse to learn a little bit more about what makes it special.

Screenshots AND Video galore.

You can learn more about how the 4-on-4 battles work, and the way you can utilize the Wii U GamePad as a map and a way to more quickly move towards a teammate as well as optional gyroscope controls. You can also easily access the Splatoon Tumblr page that has weapon and feature descriptions you can browse as you patiently wait for the game to be released and mentally prepare your strategies and loadouts. There’s also a handy link if you want to go ahead and pre-order the game.
