XSEED GAMES ANNOUNCES DEVASTATINGLY LOVELY ONE-TWO PUNCH WITH
ONECHANBARA Z2: CHAOS AND SENRAN KAGURA 2: DEEP CRIMSON

Sexy Zombie Slayers Battle an Undead Invasion in Frenetic Action Game Onechanbara Z2: Chaos for PlayStation®4; Naughty but Nice Ninja Girls Undertake Supernatural Adventure in SENRAN KAGURA 2: Deep Crimson for Nintendo 3DS™

Torrance, Calif., (March 10, 2015) – XSEED Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., today announced a supercharged pair of action titles, each featuring a large and varied cast of all-female protagonists who are as beautiful as they are deadly. Onechanbara Z2: Chaos, a brand new entry in the popular series in which sexy zombie slayers battle legions of undead, is in production for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and scheduled to release in North America this summer. SENRAN KAGURA 2: Deep Crimson, the latest martial arts adventure of the naughty yet very nice SENRAN KAGURA ninja girls, is also in production and scheduled to release for the Nintendo 3DS™ hand-held system in North America this summer.

“XSEED is getting ready to heat up the summer with ravishing heroines and fast-paced combat through these two highly sought-after games,” said Executive Vice President Ken Berry at Marvelous USA. “Each offers a signature over-the-top experience that ranges from fighting back a zombie invasion with the bikini-clad vampire sisters of Onechanbara Z2: Chaos, to getting ready for ninja brawls as the girls of Hanzo and Hebijo embark on a new supernatural martial arts adventure in SENRAN KAGURA 2: Deep Crimson.”

Onechanbara Z2: Chaos (PS4)

The latest iteration of the Onechanbara sexy zombie slayer series ups the ante with two sets of buxom vampire sisters and over a dozen stages of high-octane real-time swordplay featuring hordes of zombies—not to mention wildly inventive methods for dispatching these undead opponents. Players will square off against the undead in various worldwide locations, with limbs and blood flying every which way by means of physical attacks and acrobatic maneuvers alike, occasionally transforming into a demon for short bursts of added power and speed at the cost of life energy. Each of the four members of the so-called “bikini zombie squad” has her own unique abilities, and skillful play is rewarded with orbs that can be exchanged for upgraded weapons and outfits. For the first time in the series, players can enjoy the game with full English voice-acting or play through with the original Japanese performances.

Developed by D3 Publisher and Tamsoft, Onechanbara Z2: Chaos will be coming exclusively to the PS4 in North America, both digitally via PlayStation®Store as well as in a limited run “Banana Split” retail release, which will include a soundtrack CD, a softcover art book featuring artwork both from this game and from its Japan-only predecessor, Onechanbara Z: Kagura, and a free code to download the ‘Strawberries & Bananas’ premium DLC costume. This title has not yet been rated by the ESRB. NIS America will be publishing the PAL version of Onechanbara Z2: Chaos, and more details regarding the European release will be provided at a future time.

SENRAN KAGURA 2: Deep Crimson (Nintendo 3DS)

The naughty yet very nice ninja girls of the SENRAN KAGURA universe return to the Nintendo 3DS in a fresh, new 2.5D side-scrolling brawler. Featuring the series′ trademark high-flying, clothes-ripping battle mechanics, SENRAN KAGURA 2: Deep Crimson follows the events of SENRAN KAGURA Burst, sending all 12 of the original cast members on another supernatural martial arts adventure through modern Japan. For the first time in the series, shinobi can fight in pairs, covering each other’s backs or combining special techniques as needed, or fight alone to give their partners time to recover after bouts of intense combat. One player can control both team members, switching back and forth at will, or two players can fight side by side in co-op mode.

Developed by Marvelous Inc. and Tamsoft, SENRAN KAGURA 2: Deep Crimson will launch this summer in North America exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS both as a digital release via the Nintendo eShop as well as in a limited run “Double D” retail release which will include a two-disc soundtrack. This title has not yet been rated by the ESRB.

Marvelous Europe will be publishing the title in Europe digitally on Nintendo eShop, and have also unveiled an exclusive pre-order campaign for people who’d prefer a physical copy. The publisher is offering various packages, including special limited edition versions, which will be sold exclusively through Marvelous Europe’s dedicated site. More information about both titles will be revealed in the coming months. To celebrate the announcement of these two titles, XSEED Games is sharing a loaded package of assets including trailers, character art and screenshots.

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.
