square enix feature

Square Enix is a company that’s seen its ups and downs over the years, and they’ve gone through numerous changes in that time. Opinions on the quality of their output has varied since Squaresoft and Enix Corporation became one, and there is no shortage of fans and journalists willing to take to the internet and social media to wage an unending war of words about the once unanimously-beloved company. Most of the arguments are about two things: Are their games any good and are they a consumer-conscious company anymore?

And, so, Square Enix has decided to let fans and detractors alike speak to them directly on the matter. They’ve introduced a new ‘player survey‘ that gauges fan interest not only in their products, but those of their competitors, as well. They ask questions about which internet sites and social media outlets people are using to get their gaming information from and also which platforms they’re playing on. At the end, people that take the survey are invited to add any further thoughts on what they’d like to see in the near future. Finally, anyone wishing to take part in a $100 giveaway only has to enter their e-mail address to be entered into the prize drawing.

I’ve filled out my survey and given them my thoughts on which franchises I’d like to see get more attention, as well as what I think they can do to regain total consumer confidence. If you are a fan of Square Enix or just someone that wants to see them do well for the sake of the industry in general, go and fill out the survey now! Your feedback counts now more than ever, and who can say no to a chance at $100 for a few minutes’ worth of their time spent clicking on boxes on a website? But move fast, because the survey is over at the end of March.
