Corpse Party - Live-Action | oprainfall

The cult horror game franchise Corpse Party will be getting a live-action adaptation this summer. It will star idol Rina Ikoma, member of Nogizaka46 and AKB48. It will be her first film, and she will play third-year high school student Naomi Nakashima. It will also star male actor Ryosuke Ikeoka and model Nozomi Maeda. The film will be directed by Masafumi Yamada, who has directed horror films before. The theme song will be sung by Asami Imai, probably most well-known for playing Makise Kurisu on Steins; Gate and Chihaya Kisaragi on THE IDOLM@STER.

Niconico will also be featuring a live broadcast event on the film’s set. Filming itself will start this March.

Corpse Party is a horror game series by Team GrisGris about a group of third-year high schoolers trapped in Heaven’s Host Elementary School, investigating the mysterious disappearances of other students. The first game and its sequel, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, were localized and released in Europe and North America by XSEED on the PSP. The first game was also released on Android and iOS.
