Silence: The Whispered World II

Remember Daedalic Entertainment and how they released the awesome characters of Silence? Well, they haven’t stopped there. In fact, we’ve spotted the almost secret hero of Silence: The Whispered World II called Spot. (Pun totally intended)

Not only does this little bug help Noah and Renie as a companion, but also helps them solve multiple riddles and mysteries as they venture through the world of Silence. From flying and becoming a crowbar when they need him, Spot has the ability to seem much larger and strong than one might think. This is why Spot is such an amazing companion to the two protagonists. With that being said, let’s take a closer look at his epic strengths.

One of these larger-than-life abilities is his ability to suck in everything that gets close to his mouth (I thought I had a large appetite.) If it’s not an object, then it’s air and Spot can blow up to the shape of a huge bouncy ball. That sounds like enough fun to play with, but if you’re in a life-threatening situation, he could be used to save your life from becoming a mess on the ground.

If a huge bouncy ball isn’t good enough for you, don’t worry, there’s plenty more where that came from. Another one of Spot’s abilities is to multiply himself into smaller… well… Spots. Normally people would say, “The bigger, the better,” but when you need to get through small spaces, this ability is more than handy.

In addition to being able to blow himself up with air, he can also flatten himself to nearly nothing. Sometimes I wish I could do that, but in this case, it can help him get into areas that cannot be reached. However, this also makes him stronger so that he can build bridges to inaccessible places.

Let’s face it, Spot’s pretty hot too. Not just figuratively meaning, but also in a physical sense. Whenever Spot comes into contact with fire, he literally becomes a living flame. Talk about lighting things up…

On the other side of fire, he can also carry dangerous liquids such as lava. Spot can then use the hot, fiery magma to repair statues or defeat vegetation.

Do you have a green thumb for gardening? Maybe Water Spot is the pick for you! When he’s filled with water, he can be used practically as a watering hose to water plants, which can grow and change the environment.

Isn’t Spot just sweet? Well, he also loves to be fed honey and when he’s filled to the brim, he can hum a soothing song and calm an entire group of Honey Ticks.

Remember all the helium you’ve sucked down at a birthday party or a holiday celebration? Not only can it change your voice to a high-pitched chipmunk chirp, but Helium is also one of the Noble Gases. When Spot takes in Helium, he becomes virtually weightless. Sure, flying is cool, but being invisible is also pretty awesome!

The last and final ability that Spot has is to transport acids. Wanna know a secret? Players will have to find out for themselves during the gameplay!

For me, him as a companion to the two protagonists is more than enough because he helps Renie cope during rough times.

The story of Silence is of Noah and his little sister Renie, which is almost lost to the tragedies of war. However, Noah somehow managed to follow her into Silence. Although they’re now in this new world, war still rages on and on under a false Queen, which Noah chooses to fight against with a group of rebels.

Not only is Silence a great game, but it’s also coming back crammed with new 3D visual effects to offer its gamers a new and improved experience. Gamers will now venture through the unraveling trail of emotional trials and tribulations. While seeking answers to the mysteries of Silence, players will enjoy all new visuals and sights along the way.

Do you have what it takes? Silence is scheduled for late 2015 for Mac, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Emily Perkins
My name's Emily Lianna Perkins (as, of course, my profile would say). I'm fourteen years old. I am an author at America Star Books, which they used to be address as Publish America. However, late last year (2013) they changed the name. I began writing at six, began a series at eight (which I finished at ten) and had the first book in the series published this past year. Furthermore, I came here to expand my writing. To me, writing is not only a passion, it's a way of life and an art. People can express themselves in various ways, and writing is no different. You can find my book at many websites, but at Amazon will be best! The link follows: http://www.amazon.com/Vampires-vs-Werewolves-Vol-1/dp/1630844586
