Rayman DLC Rumor

UPDATE 02/15/2015

The rumor was apparently faked as the person behind the “prank” has posted another video explaining how he did it.

UPDATE: There is now a video. Keep in mind this video could go down at any time.

Today, a 4chan user posted a series of pictures of the classic Ubisoft hero appearing in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, alleging that they came from an “industry contact.” While it’s possible, probable even that the pictures are fake, it’s worth noting that leaks of Shulk and Duck Hunt’s appearances in the game originated from 4chan, and that Ubisoft was more than happy to let Nintendo put a Rayman trophy in the game. The idea of DLC for Super Smash Bros. isn’t without precedent, either, as Mewtwo is expected to be released as a DLC character this spring.

In short, take this news with a grain of salt. But, should this be real, it would be a great way to pay homage to yet another oldie-but-goodie video game hero.
