Dungeons & Dragons has been no stranger to video games, so with the release of the longstanding tabletop’s fifth edition there’s no shock that another game is coming to PC later this year with Sword Coast Legends.

What might come as a bit of a shock is that the director of Dragon Age: Origins is working on it. To sweeten the deal the collaboration of studios N-Space and Digital Extremes include people who have worked on fan classics Neverwinter Nights and Baldur’s Gate. That’s a pedigree that is bound to be a siren call for many fans of sword and sorcery games.

Much like the tabletop its based on, the game seems to be keeping to traditional top-down RPGs. In addition to a single player and a co-op mode it will provide the ability for another player to take on the role of the dungeon master.
