Fatal-Frame-V-8-1024x576

Tomonobu Itagaki is currently busy working on the Wii U exclusive, Devil’s Third, yet he had time to respond to some requests about Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Maiden (Fatal Frame V). Although he isn’t directly involved with the development, he did have some encouraging words to share about a potential western release:

“Hey guys, I strongly believe that Kikuchi Keisuke will release the Fatal Frame V in America, in many countries. He and me have same philosophy from Tecmo days. That’s what I can say for now. I want you guys to read between the lines.
Anyway I will play this game.”

Now this is in no way a confirmation that the west will see a release of Fatal Frame V, but it is kind of exciting to think that the possibility is still there.

He’s British and found solace with us as he was able to understand our pain about Nintendo and their localizing faux pas. He’s a big fan of the letter ‘U’ and refuses to remove them from words, even though we constantly ask him to. He also believes it’s about time Princess Daisy got kidnapped.
