Bayonetta 8 bit Browser game - Screenshot

Platinum Games promised more Bayonetta news, and they’ve delivered with this new Bayonetta 8-bit browser game. This web-based game only uses two buttons: the space bar for jump and enter for shoot. There are two types of enemies, flying and ground. If you get hit once, it’s game over. Enemies come in waves, and it’s up to you to shoot them before they reach you. At the end you are given the opportunity to share your score on Twitter.

Now, should you bother playing it? Sure, I like it. It’s not the next evolution of Bayonetta or anything, but as a fun diversion that you can play for free, I think it’s not bad at all. Flying enemies occasionally feel cheap, but it is fun to see how high a score you can get. You can even play it on the Wii U through the system’s web browser. Do you like it? Share your thoughts and top scores in the comments.
