The Game Awards kicked off their show with a presentation from Nintendo, which included a special message from Shigeru Miyamoto about the upcoming Mario Maker. The presentation also included a trailer that showed off many of the possibilities in this game that allows the player to design their own Mario levels. Based on what was seen in the trailer, it appears that you will be able to use the designs from all the 2D Mario series: the original Super Mario Bros.  Super Mario Bros. 3, Super Mario World and New Super Mario Bros.

No release date was given, but Mario Maker will be available for both the Wii U and 3DS in 2015.
