Rodea | Featured

A few weeks back we got news that Rodea The Sky Soldier, first announced years ago, is slated to come out in Japan sometime in 2015. At the time of that article there was no new trailer available, but that has changed as Kadokawa has unveiled a new debut trailer for the unique-looking 3DS and Wii U game.

Though no other territories have been announced as of now, I fervently hope more audiences get to try the game out. It has a very distinct visual style, borrowing elements from Skies of Arcadia, Nights, Astro Boy, Shadow of the Colossus and even a little of a Star Fox vibe. Players fight against the Naga empire as the titular Sky Soldier. It looks as though the main character will be able to zip around, blasting foes and soaring through hoops (presumably for a point system or some such feature). I have been pleased with the games hitting Nintendo consoles of late, and I feel Rodea would make the library even more diverse. Take a look at the trailer and let us know what you think!
