Sword Art Online: Lost Song

New images have been released for Sword Art Online: Lost Song. These new screenshots give us new glimpses of everything from the games animated cutscenes, to character art, to pictures of the game’s battle system. All of which serve to show off the game’s world of Svart Alfheim, a floating continent composed of several islands. The first of these is called Vorklinde, a floating grassland which contains windmills and other large structures.

The battle pictures especially serve to show off the game’s 360-degree flight action battles in which players will be able to fight openly in aerial battles, similar to those of the anime. Of course, the player will be able to fight on the ground as well, which will be more common in dungeons. You’ll be able to transition between ground and sky battles, and the transition is said to be seamless.

Players will be able to form parties and bring any two other characters into battle with them. You can play as any character–in fact it’s possible to just leave out Kirito if you want. Characters specifically shown off in the screenshots include Kirito, Leafa, Asuna, Silica, and Lisbeth.

Do these details sound interesting? Let us know in the comments! Sword Art Online: Lost Song is is set to release for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in Japan on March 26th, 2015.
