Operation Power Up | Official Nintendo Magazine Ending

NOTE: This article is from the oprainfall Campaign Hub, written by an independent campaign, and hosted on the oprainfall website. The opinions herein may not represent the opinions of oprainfall.

On October 7th 2014, Official Nintendo Magazine announced that it will come to a close with its 114th issue, which was released on October 14, 2014. On November 11, 2014, the website along with its forums will be shut down. We at Operation Power Up are deeply saddened by the lost of ONM and would like to see it somehow return. With the lost of Nintendo Power, Nintendo Gamer, and now Official Nintendo Magazine, it is clear that Nintendo-dedicated publications have no future with Future Publishing.

For our UK Nintendo fans who would like to see the return of Official Nintendo Magazine, please feel free to join our campaign to show Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe that us gamers who have grown up reading Nintendo Power or Nintendo Magazine System/Nintendo Magazine/Nintendo Official Magazine/Official Nintendo Magazine would still like an official Nintendo-dedicated publication.

For those new to Operation: Power Up, we’re a group of dedicated fans persuading Nintendo of America to bring back Nintendo Power as a digital publication and/or a website. With fan publications such as Pure Nintendo, Nintendo Force, there’s still a market for a dedicated Nintendo publication. Our mission is simple: we want to get back the Power. Nintendo Power (and ONM too)!

See you next mission!
