As some of you may know, Mario Kart 8 will be getting some free DLC tomorrow – 27th August – which gives you access to three new vehicles, and a few extra additions to the game. However, Nintendo UK have apparently stolen that slice of DLC’s thunder by announcing two astonishing Add On Packs (AOC) for the kart racer. Each pack will contain two new cups, of 8 courses, three new vehicles, and three new characters. Oh, did I mention that one of the characters is Link from The Legend of Zelda? No. How about one of the tracks being based on F-Zero? Aaargh. Feel the hype.

The first AOC is due in November, 2014, and is titled: The Legend of Zelda X Mario Kart. The second AOC is due in May, 2015.

About David Rawlings

David Rawlings, or ‘Rawky’ as we like to call him, joined the Operation Rainfall Campaign at the beginning. He’s British and found solace with us as he was able to understand our pain about Nintendo and their localizing faux pas. He’s a big fan of the letter ‘U’ and refuses to remove them from words, even though we constantly ask him to. He also believes it’s about time Princess Daisy got kidnapped.
