Clannad | Announcment

While Clannad has been well known and well received among anime fans, fans have not been able to experience the Visual Novel it originated from until now. Up until this point, Clannad has only been playable, in English, through the fan translation by Doki Fansubs. Now, over ten years after its original Japanese release, Clannad¬†is now being officially released in English on Steam. Sekai Project has announced that they plan to fund the translation through a Kickstarter campaign with a number of awesome prizes available. They have also stated that the translation is going to be based off of Doki Fansub’s translation, and that they have explored the possibilities of Widescreen support and a physical release.

I personally am very excited to hear about this seeing as how I have always been interested in Clannad for quite some time, and I prefer to experience these thing in their original form. I can imagine that this should come as great news to fans of the series as well.

About Annie Gallagher

My name is Annie Gallagher. I am 20 year old trans girl who has yet to go through any form of transitioning, just to explain the profile pic. I have always had an interest an interest gaming, but the more time I spent with this interest, the more knowledgeable and devoted I have become to it. I am typically not the type of girl who would stay up all night playing one game, but I would be lying if I said that I did not think about them every day at one point. I generally tend to take a lot of interest in the much lesser known and niche games simply because I like the idea of discovering something that no one else has. However, that does not mean that I dislike popular games. My personal favorite game genres are JRPGs, visual novels, horror games, and platformers, and basically anything with a good story. I am also a person who enjoys being able to share my own opinions with other like minded people.
