The latest issue of Japanese magazine Jump has revealed the release date for Square Enix’s upcoming action role-playing game, Final Fantasy Explorers, for the 3DS. Come December 18th, players will be able to get together and beat up Final Fantasy enemies through a variety of classic Final Fantasy jobs.

In Final Fantasy Explorers, you play as an adventurer on a quest to gather crystals scattered all across the world. The game does not emphasize story as heavily as a mainstream Final Fantasy game. Instead the focus is more on multiplayer. Players can team up and fight the various monsters and bosses that roam the world, including classic Final Fantasy summons. It also utilizes a job system that players can level and eventually mix and match with other jobs.

Square Enix has not announced any plans for releasing Final Fantasy Explorers outside of Japan as of yet. We’ll be sure to let you know if that happens.

Where does he find the time to write about them?
