Quantum Devil Saga - Avatar Tuner | oprainfall

Bento Books, a small publishing company started by three translators, will be releasing the Quantum Devil Saga series of books written by Yu Godai. You may recognize Yu Godai’s name as she is the writer of the Shin Megami Tensei series. Considering the series, it is no surprise that the Quantum Devil Saga does in fact take place in the same world as Shin Megami Tensei. And while you may have noticed that there are a series of Quantum Devil Saga games, note that these books do differ from the game as the author came back and reinterpreted the story. Sources say that Godai had to leave partway through writing the game due to an illness and that these books align with her original vision.

From Bento Book’s website,

In the post-apocalyptic Junkyard warring tribes battle to unify all six territories, and thus gain access to Nirvana, the promised land. After one battle Serph, the leader of the upstart Embryon tribe, rescues a mysterious girl and discovers he and his fellow fighters have gained the ability to transform into mystical, demon warriors. But these new powers and the enigmatic Sera threaten to upend the balance of power in the Junkyard, and within the Embryon tribe itself.

The first book, Avatar Tuner Vol. 1, will be released tomorrow on July 31st. Bento Books also has the first chapter available for free on their website. Quantum Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner Vol. 1 will have a hardcover edition retailing at $24.99 USD , a paperback edition retailing at $14.95 USD, and a digital edition retailing at $9.99 USD.

As of this writing, only the hardcover is available to preorder via their website, while both the hardcover and paperback editions are listed on Amazon. The digital edition is not available as this time.
