Halfway There 20,000 and Under Flexible Funding Goal Reached

INITIAL GOAL REACHED

10,000BP

  • Goal: £200
  • Platforms: Windows

From the Kickstarter page:

Its the Stone Age. Do what ever you can to survive. Build shelters, hunt and forage. No zombies. No guns. Just survival.

What is the game going to be about?

Well, Stone Age is a game based on pure survival. There is not going to be any guns or zombies like most ‘survival’ games today. The closest thing to a gun you will get is a home-made crossbow. There will be many different ways of gathering food and water. You could hunt, fish or just gather berries from unknown bushes. At a risk. Of course there is going to be other things bigger than you. Mammoths have been planned, wolves, foxes, bears and more. There is hopefully going to be a very nice and modular building system allowing you to build what you want where you want.

LAST CALL FOR FUNDING: Bermuda

Bermuda

  • Goal: $2,000 AUD
  • Platforms: Windows, Mac OS

From the Kickstarter page:

Countless individuals have vanished inside the Bermuda Triangle. By this day and age, many have written these disappearances off as myths. Edward and his friends, however, will learn that the triangle is in fact quite real.

Bermuda is a six episode visual novel that explores the values of trust and deceit. The game is fully voiced and will run for around an hour or two in length. I aim to be succinct with my narratives and this one will be no different. Thank you for your understanding.

  • The story will be fully voiced, including narration.
  • Features the voices of veteran actors like Kyle Hebert and Cristina Vee.
  • An open ended stealth mission in each of the six episodes.
  • Optional conversations for players to know the cast better.
  • At least one new anime / manga styled artwork per episode.

LAST CALL FOR FUNDING: The Meridian Shard

The Meridian Shard

  • Goal: $1,000 CAD
  • Platform: PC

From the Kickstarter page:

My name is Justin Cuff and I love designing game icons! As the lone graphic artist, writer and developer of The Meridian Shard, I have been working non-stop at it since 2012, and I have just enough time to complete it at the end of this year with the budgeted funds I already have. However, as the project has since grown and with such a loving and rabid fanbase also growing around this great old-school game, I feel it deserves just a few more additional artistic touches to make it even more personal for the players, and to give it even more visual appeal.

I would like to dedicate a portion of this summer to designing additional icons for all items, armor upgrades and weapons in The Meridian Shard video game, and then offer the entire set, plus additional content, as a commercially licensed resource pack that can be used by other game developers and hobbyists for making any kind of game on any platform! I would like to make this package available in the Unity3D Assets store, as well as as on Steam and also sell them directly from my website.

And that’s all for this week. We would also like to congratulate the following gaming projects on successfully completing their crowdfunding campaign.

Jeff Neuenschwander
Jeff has been a supporter of the website and campaign since the beginning. Joining in for E3 2012, he worked his way up the ranks quickly, making it to the Editing Manager post at the beginning of 2013. Jeff has a wide variety of tastes when it comes to gaming and pretty much likes anything that is quirky, although his favorite genres are Action, Platforming, and RPG. Outside of gaming, Jeff is a musician, being trained as a trombonist for Jazz and Classical music, and holds a degree in Sound Recording.
