Not much in this week’s Last Call for Funding. I guess the developers figured that, with E3 happening this past week, that they would be overshadowed by bigger games. But there are still quite a few to list off.

One that will not be making the list is Caffeine, a horror game we’ve been following since before its Indiegogo campaign a while back. The project is within its last week, but looks to be falling short, having only raised $3,000 AUD needed for its $70,000 AUD goal. Hopefully, the developers will press on and try again at the future date.

Anyways, here are the projects that are within the last 10 days of funding — one day late…

LAST CALL FOR FUNDING - 8 Bit Kingdoms | oprainfall

8 Bit Kingdoms

  • Goal: $900 CAD
  • Platforms: Windows, Mac OS, Linux, iOS, Android

From the Kickstarter page:

A multiplayer real time strategy war game inspired by HBO’s award winning series Game of Thrones!

8 Bit Kingdoms is an upcoming multiplayer real time strategy war game for PC, MAC, Linux, and Mobile (IOS/Android). We began this project last year with the intent to make it a simple war game for your internet browser. However, the more we worked on it, the more ideas came to us and it continued to grow. Keep in mind that what you see here today is only a taste of what the game has to offer, we love the feeling of discovering something new and that’s why we will not be revealing too much at this time. We are saving that excitement for future updates and the game’s final release!

In 8 Bit Kingdoms, you are a ruler in the land of Leftos striving for total domination across the land. Take the classic military approach and destroy anyone who opposes you or construct the King’s Throne to silence your enemies. Be careful though, enemy spies can sabotage your production! How you achieve victory is up to you, just understand the path to rule is never a clean one. The main objective in this game is not necessarily to take out your opponent by yourself, but to outlast them; build a great stronghold and buy time until winter comes so Ice Zmbies can overrun your enemies for you!

LAST CALL FOR FUNDING - Beast's Fury | oprainfall
*If they reach $105,000 AUD.

Beast’s Fury

  • Goal: $45,000 AUD
  • Platforms: Windows, Mac OS, Linux

From the Kickstarter page:

We currently have only 2 animators working in their spare time to finish the animation needed for two characters (Vincent & Don) to complete a solid and polished demo of the game. At the current rate, this would take upwards of 9 months to a YEAR to complete.

If we’re successfully funded, we can hire on several new animators to the crew, and all animators will be able to dedicate FULL TIME to the project. This will shorten our estimated timespan of completion to 2-3 months!

We’ve been working hard on this game for almost a year now, and we’re SO CLOSE to releasing a polished demo that we can present at game expos, conventions, and to publishing companies. All we need is your help!

LAST CALL FOR FUNDING - Pale Blue | oprainfall

Pale Blue

  • Goal: $48,000
  • Platforms: Windows; Mac OS and Linux ($53,000 stretch goal)

From the Kickstarter page:

The “Pale Blue” concept came from our fascination with superheroes (Power Rangers, Kamen Rider, Jaeger, Ultraman, etc). We watch our heroes fighting monsters and evil organizations from time to time, foiling their plans at world domination where they live to fight another day.

Then our attention moved to the villains, not the heroes. Why is it that the villains never give up but would rather keep fighting to achieve their wicked and cruel plans no matter how many of their fellow comrades have died at the hands of the superheroes. So many monsters and evil creatures sacrifice their lives to achieve their organization’s goal. The mere reason “they do that just because they’re evil” no longer suffices to answer our questions. We kept wondering, why would they willing to risk everything to take on the world? What kind of stories are hidden linger behind those monstrous eyes and evil masks?

We are so excited about sharing our concept of “Pale Blue” concept on Kickstarter. In Pale Blue, the story will be about evil.

You can also help the project by supporting it on Steam Greenlight.
