Nintendo revealed more information about an upcoming Monolith Soft game in their Nintendo Direct today, which is still being called X. While there wasn’t a lot of new information about the game itself, including its name, Iwata did announce that it will be available in 2014, and detailed some more information about the mechanics of the game.

Monolith Soft’s new game X was announced in the same global Nintendo Direct where Satoru Iwata revealed that they were working on a crossover between Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei. This new game appears very similar to Monolith Soft’s previous game Xenoblade Chronicles, which was released in North America last year. Some key differences include giant mechs that the player can pilot as well as what appears to be online multiplayer. This new game’s release date was announced to be 2014, as of this writing.
