Everyone is looking forward to the new Super Smash Bros. game for the 3DS and Wii U. For those of you who don’t know, Super Smash Bros. is a series of fighting style games that were originally developed by HAL Laboratory, and later by numerous developers. Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS and Wii U is the fourth installment in the series, and the first on the two consoles. A new bundle has been revealed by GameStop. The bundle is for the Wii U version of the game. It’s $99.00 and will include a copy of Super Smash Bros., a Super Smash Bros.-Edition GameCube controller, and a Nintendo GameCube adapter for the Wii U.

What bundles would you guys like to see from some upcoming games? We would love to hear back from our very faithful community! I readily await your answers!

About Dalton McClain

A gamer at heart, and a creator by trade. As a shy kid who grew up in a small town, my only solace was with the games that I enjoyed playing. That being said I enjoy just about every type of game, but more than anything I love playing horror/unique games. I look forward to sharing my knowledge of the strange and unusual with the world.

I’m not too savvy on the Wii U. I’ll be getting my console next week and am wondering if this bundle would be worth it for me.

Will the controller and adapter work with other Wii U games? Have they released that information? I love the way the Smash GC controller looks, so it’s hard to pull away, but I need to make sure it’s a good purchase.

The only real info we have is that thay look great http://www.ign.com/images/albums/wii-u-fight-pad-controllers/5398b640471ddddc1c2ea2dc

I hope Nintendo anounces GC games on VC so this Controllers are worth it.

The controllers you linked to are actually 3rd party controllers by PDP. The official 1st party controller is wired, looks like this:

That is new to me. Honewstly this is the first time where I liked the Third Party controller more than the official.

The problem I have w/ 3rd party controllers is they never come close to the quality of the 1st party equivalent. These are straight up, rebranded Gamecube controllers, one of the greatest controller designs every. If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it. However, the biggest problem I have w/ the PDP controllers is that they have to be tethered to the Wii Remotes. I HATE THAT. So not only do I need to worry about where that stupid thing is dangling, I also have to keep batteries on hand. No thanks.

I reserved this bundle. I’ve still got a few ‘Cube controllers in good condition, but one more won’t hurt and I’ll need the converter anyway.
