La-Mulana Portable | oprainfall

Fans of retro action games and/or Indiana Jones have something to be happy about. Just announced today, La-Mulana will be coming to the PS Vita as La-Mulana Portable (working title).

The game features Lemeza Kosugi, 31 year old MSX computer-loving archaeologist, investigating ruins of La-Mulana. Armed with only a whip, he battles against the monsters that fill the tomb. While looking for a “Treasure of Life,” Lemeza eventually he stumbles upon a secret that concerns the entirety of the human race.

The PS Vita version will contain new features, though the only one specified at this time is a Monster Bestiary.

Originally a Japanese PC title that game out in 2005, the game started being remade from the ground up in 2007. This rework added new graphics, music and puzzles to the game. It was then released worldwide as a PC and WiiWare game in 2012. This new version for the PS Vita will come out sometime this December.

A successful Kickstarter campaign ran a few months ago, and a La-Mulana 2 is currently in development. Check out the official site for more details.
