Electronic Arts World Premier Recap

After one of their most tumultuous years, Electronic Arts had a year that yielded rather mixed results. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare was good but was criticized for having a lack of replayability. Battlefield 4 was pretty good but was marred by many bugs at launch. Titanfall was impressive with its gameplay but was a rather hollow experience.

So, with releases of Dragon Age: Inquisition, Mirror’s Edge and Star Wars: Battlefront looming, EA has a lot to prove to the consumers. And what else will they bring to the table this year? Let’s find out…

Next is Mirror’s Edge, which was teased last year at the end of the E3 conference. The game still appears to be in an early development stage. A conceptual prototype was shown off during the conference.

FIFA 15 was up next, with EA Sports putting a focus on player emotions. New ball physics were also shown as well as how players battle for the ball. The turf will also be dynamic, leaving marks where players had slid or kicked up grass during a free kick. FIFA 15 will release in the Fall.

The latest Battlefield installment, Battlefield: Hardline, was shown last. A new Heist mode featuring a battle between cops and robbers was demonstrated in a 32 person match. Battlefield: Hardline will have the Beta launch right now at Battlefield.com for PC and by downloading through your Battlefield 4 copy on PS4.
