Remember Me - Dontnod Collaborating with Square Enix on... Something | oprainfall

Dontnod Entertainment, creators of Remember Me, is creating a new game in collaboration with Square Enix. The game will be a digital title. No platforms or release date has been announced yet.

In a statement, Dontnod CEO Oskar Guilbert had this to say. “We’re very excited to be working with Square Enix on our new game. It’s a twist on traditional story driven games and we can’t wait to share more with you soon.”

In the same statement, Lee Singleton, general manager and COO of Square Enix’s London-based studio, says that Square has always wanted to work with Dontnod but has never found the right time until now. He goes to add that they are not ready to divulge any details about the game, but we won’t have to wait very long.

Released last year, Remember Me was Dontnod’s first game and was met with mixed critical reception. It barely made a dent on the sales charts. The company made news earlier this year when it had reportedly filed for bankruptcy. Guilbert had to set the record straight while mentioning that, in fact, Dontnod was working on a new project. Today’s announcement may very well be the project they had started back then.

Karli Winata is an avid gamer with a taste for a little bit of everything. Except for sports games. And racing sims. And definitely not hidden object games! I guess everything is too broad a term. Suffice it to say that he has been known to play hours of Call of Duty multiplayer in between bouts of Persona fusing and Star Coin collecting while saving the world/galaxy through sensibly bald space marines or plucky teenagers with impossible hairstyles. Where does he find the time to write about them?
