So WAY back in January I did my most recent Mega Man Top 10 article about the Sneakiest Robot Masters. After taking a bit of a break, I figured this month would be a fitting time to do my newest one, since it is May, and here at oprainfall we are hosting a TON of Mega Man reviews this month. Take a minute to check those out when you can. In the meantime, let’s take a gander at what I’ve cooked up today.

When I say “Most Original” I mean the weirdest, craziest downright oddest Robot Masters in the series. This is sure to be an unpredictable and maybe even divisive list, but I spent a long time thinking it through. Feel free to chime in about your opinions in the comment section below.

Without further ado, here’s my Top 10 Most Original Robot Masters!

Robot Master No. 10: Elec Man

Most Original Robot Masters

Let’s start this list off right with a bang! Or a jolt. A spark? I’m running out of puns. Regardless, I felt best to start this list off with Elec Man. He was one of the original Robot Masters, and I found him unique since he was also one of the first with an Elemental style of combat. He didn’t hurl stuff like Guts or Bomb man, but instead used his own internal energy to threaten the Blue Bomber. More original yet, he looked more like a comic supervillain than an actual robot. But his gimmick had nothing on the next Robot Master…

Robot Master No. 9: Air Man

Most Original Robot Masters

Ah, Air Man. You’re such a weirdo. Yes, he looked less human than Elec Man, but at what expense? Seriously, nothing pretty about having a fan for a face. Then again, it was a pretty unique gimmick at the time. Add in his tendency to play with wind and litter the field with mini tornadoes and you’re looking at a powerful Robot Master. Still, there’s much weirder to come.

Robot Master No. 8: Heat Man

Most Original Robot Masters

Some of you are probably surprised Heat Man didn’t rank higher on the Most Original scale. Which is a fair question. I mean, a walking lighter IS pretty original. But unfortunately for Heat Man, that unique flavor was only skin deep, and didn’t really translate to his attack style in any meaningful way. Even so, Heat Man is one of those iconic weirdo Robot Masters that is hard to forget.

Robot Master No. 7: Gravity Man

Most Original Robot Masters

See? There’s weirder than walking lighters. Coming in at Number 7 is the very odd duck, Gravity Man. Not only is his attack gimmick unique (he uses gravity as a weapon and flips you onto the ceiling!) but his getup is beyond weird. He looks like some sort of chrome-plated robo pimp. Still not sure why he has a metallic nipple on his head, either. Moving on.
