Famitsu has revealed Compile Heart’s newest title Omega Quintet, which will release in Japan September 18th. The game, dubbed as an “idol RPG”, centers around a cast of maidens who are mankind’s last hope to defeat the “Beep” who plague the world. Our five heroes are said to have the singing power necessary to defeat the “Beep”.

Along with the reveal, Famitsu showed off the first screenshot from the game, which you can see above. You can also check out the character art for the maidens below.

Omega Quintet will be priced for 6,980 yen for the standard version and 8,980 yen for the limited edition. The limited edition will come with a special box and booklet. Pre-orders will include a soundtrack CD. The title will be launched exclusively for the PlayStation 4.

So the PS4 finally gets a JRPG other than Final Fantasy XV or Kingdom Heart 3. Granted I still need a bit more than three games to be convinced but hopefully there should be more announcements soon enough.
