Tales of Xillia 2 Collector's Edition - North America | oprainfall

With the resounding success of the Tales games, Bandai Namco has announced that both Europe and North America will be receiving collector’s editions of Tales of Xillia 2. Both collectors’ editions will include the following:

  • Tales of Xillia 2 full-game
  • Ludger Kresnik figure
  • Elle’s Pocket Watch Replica Compact
  • Tales of Xillia 2 Original tracks selected by the development team
  • Tales of Xillia 2 Art Book

The North American release will also feature a small plush charm of Rollo, Ludger Kresnik’s cat. The European release appears to also have a metal case for the game with Rollo’s image. Also, as of this time, it appears that only North American collector’s editions will be eligible for the free Classic Tales of Costume DLC (Yuri Lowell, Emil Castagnier, Asbel Lhant).

If European fans cannot snag the Collector’s Editions, the Tales of Xillia 2 Day 1 Edition is also something to behold. Although it does not come with nearly the amount of stuff as the Collector’s Edition, it features the full  Tales of Xillia 2 game, a sound track selected by the development team, and a very cool Tales of Xillia 2 metalcase. Currently, there does not seem to be a Day 1 Edition for North American fans.

Tales of Xillia 2 takes place one year after the events of Tales of Xillia and features a new protagonist by the name of Ludger Kresnik. The game features heavy use of the theme of choice. Players will be able to determine how Ludger reacts to things, which will not only affect the present, but the very end of the game itself. Also sure to please fans, characters from the previous game will appear as well as new ones.

The North American release date is set for August 19th, 2014, while the European release is slated for August 22nd, 2014. The price for the North American Collector’s Edition retails at $129.99 USD. No price was given for the European editions.
